FEATURED DATTO TECHNOLOGY AND SERVICES

Instant On-site and Off-site Virtualization
Backups from Datto appliances can be virtualized locally to the Datto device or to the secure Datto Cloud, instantly, with the click of a button. Should a local disaster occur, a business can continue as usual in the Datto Cloud. Even while virtualized, systems can perform a normal backup schedule to both the Datto device and to the Datto Cloud.

Screenshot Backup Verification
No more guessing if your backup is working properly. Datto appliances boot backups as virtual machines, capturing an image of the login page to give you visual proof that your data has been successfully backed up. An industry first.

Hybrid Virtualization
This is the combination of instant off-site virtualization and the single click connectivity of instant local virtualization.

Backup Insights
This ground-breaking proprietary technology on appliances allows you to identify file or application changes between any two backup points. You can easily find that deleted folder or determine which files a virus affected.

Inverse Chain Technology
This proprietary technology eliminates broken backup chains. Each time a backup occurs on an appliance, data is converted directly into a virtual machine, with the most recent backup image always being the base image. Data is always available immediately, both on and off-site.

Centralized Management
All Datto solutions are controlled through a central, easy to use web interface. For Datto appliances, Partners can configure devices, schedule backup reports, monitor off-site amounts, set up alerts, access marketing support, and more.

End-to-End Encryption
All data is protected by AES 256 encryption both in transit and in the cloud. For Datto appliances, Partners have the option to encrypt data locally, and pass phrases can be specified per appliance or per protected machine to meet compliance regulations.

Broad Operating System Support
Datto appliances support both Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. For Windows machines, support currently ranges from Windows 2000 to Windows 8 and Server 2012. Granular recovery is also available for Exchange and Sharepoint servers. Datto also supports multiple Linux based operating systems including versions of Ubuntu, Fedora, and CentOS.

ownCloud on SIRIS
Datto is proud to partner with ownCloud to deploy the Enterprise Edition v7 of their solution to SIRIS 1, SIRIS 2  and Virtual SIRIS devices. This new best-in-class file sync and share utility lets users access files from anywhere using desktop or mobile clients and synchronizes changes to keep files up to date  all while storing the data right on their SIRIS in their local infrastructure rather than relying on a public cloud. And because IT professionals manage the onsite hardware and can establish granular access restrictions, users get enterprise level simplicity and security unmatched by consumer file sharing services.

Better Bare Metal Restore
Restore full machines quickly and efficiently through our USB Bare Metal Restore process. Go from physical machines to virtual (P2V) or vice versa with our unique dissimilar hardware tool that allows for maximum flexibility when restoring. No drives or cables needed as the system can run completely over the user’s network.

Cloud-to-Cloud Backup Support
Datto Backupify gives you the ability to back up data within your SaaS applications, including Office 365, Google Apps, and Salesforce. Protect your data from user errors, malicious deletions, and viruses with automated, daily backup.

Physical and Virtual Platforms
Our Intelligent Business Continuity solutions can now be purchased as a virtual appliance to support a virtual infrastructure in addition to our physical hardware. Virtual SIRIS supports VMware. Virtual ALTO supports VMware, Hyper-V and XenServer.

Time-Based Cloud Retention
Datto’s unique billing model takes the guesswork out of cloud billing.  Storage for appliances is based on time-frames versus trying to estimate how many gigabytes a customer may need; available in 1, 3 or 7 year options. It establishes a predictable cloud billing model for both the MSP and their customer.
